Crab Mentality

Have you ever felt like how the world is against you? How everything happening in your life is out to get you? Life is truly unfair, is it not? That is what I am feeling right now, too.

How can other people live and breathe while bringing other people down? Is this their nature? Is this...really what humanity looks like? We always have this mentality that we should be better than everybody else yet, here we are.

Crab Mentality - are you just jealous of what others have that you don't unfortunately have? What this mentality speaks of is the usual response of human whenever someone is better than them, when someone has a better opportunity than them, when someone is far more gifted than they are in a field.

I say that far more gifted in a field because, let's get this straight; everyone is gifted in their own way, some people just doesn't realize it easily or they just turn a blind eye on their own gifts.

Anyways, speaking back about bringing other people down, I would like to ask people doing this; is this fun? Is doing that fun? Is bringing others down so satisfying that even though you know it is wrong, you still keep on doing it?

I pray, I hope, that one day, those people bringing others down would change. I hope that they would never feel the way their victims felt like when they were bringing them down. I don't if you guys believe in karma, but bad karma comes to those who does bad things to other people, wrong things! I hope those people will open their eyes and realize that there is a huge possibility that the people that you are bringing down...

...is hurting so much more than you can imagine. It hits a lot on the victim's mental health, that there comes a time where they would think of unimaginable things such as, you know... tw//suicide?

Please, please, do not take out your frustrations on other people. Don't bring them down just because you are down yourself. Keep in mind, you just might become the one bringing others down, but you might be a victim also. One way or another, people will feel like the whole world is against them just because of one person.

Please, do not be that person.

I also post my short stories here, might be original, might be fanfictions, it's a whole variety! Anyways, I hope you guys would love it and I will continue doing it (even though I have no readers lololol).

Documentary #1: Agent Orange Victims

It's Sunday and I hope everyone is doing alright! I have been watching documentaries since this morning. I am learning a lot of different things, especially about the Agent Orange victims of Vietnam. If you are not aware of the Orange children, you can watch this documentary about it by SBS Datelina. Here is this link below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3DcCtoUubo

To give you a little bit of detail about it; it is about the lasting effect of the Vietnam war to, not only the War Veterans, but to their children and probably, the next generation as well. You see, amidst the war, US military decided to spread Agent Orange, a toxic herbicide. Its purpose is to kill the trees, plants and etc. so that the US military will know where their enemies are, but instead, it left a devastating effects to everyone.

In the documentary, it shows the children affected by the Agent Orange. They have birth defects resulting from a parent (a war Veteran) inhaling the herbicide. But, it does not only affect war veterans' children but also those who were unfortunate enough to come in contact to this toxic chemical.

The Red Cross estimated on Vietnam 3 million who are affected by this chemical, and 150, 000 of them are all children. How unfortunate that even after the war ended, people can still feel the devastating effect of what it left behind.

In 1971, the use of Agent Orange was banned by the US and all remaining stocks has been destroyed. I hope that the ones affected by this chemical will heal one day, and carry out a normal life.
